Ephriam Che was at Upper Nyos the night of August 21, 1986. Listen to the interview, it is absolutely astounding.

"I heard noise.
Noise that sounded like falling rain.
Nine o'clock at night.
It sounded like this gazzzzzzzzz...."

The majority of the cows were facing downhill as though they aware of the imminent danger. Contrary to media reports; none of the livestock were buried.

Lake Nyos is located behind the ridge. This compound had a 100% fatality rate (2 adults, 4 children). Family was buried outside the front door in a shallow grave.
