To help my fourth graders become more organized and independent, each child needs to use a homework folder. These folders need to go home every night and come back to school each day.

     On the inside left (labeled DONE) of the folder are any papers that have been completed at home, whether by the student or parent. The right side (labeled TO DO) should have anything to be completed that night to come back to school the next day.

     Hopefully, the folder keeps your child’s things organized and helps keep them from becoming lost and floating freely in their desk or backpack. At school these folders are always kept on the student’s desk to use when needed.
