AP Calculus is a 200-level College Course. Advanced students are allowed to take this course in High School where they will experience a true college curriculum, and the thought processes and study habits necessary to be successful when they enter college. Students will be expected and required to display and work with the academic maturity for the college level. In this course, we will be exploring the curriculum normally taught in MTH 251, and MTH 252 at CCC, where students can gain college credit for the course if they so desire. The course will culminate with an AP test designed and graded by The College Board. This test is recognized by a majority of Universities throughout the country as preparedness and credit worthy for their corresponding course(s) if the student gets a score at the level the respective University has set for passing standard. Most Universities recognize a score of 3 as passing. However, some require a score of 4 or even 5. Please check with your desired University to see what is their requirement.
