Earth Science is a trimester course with an emphasis on the underlying processes that shape our dynamic earth in relation to plate tectonics, volcanoes and earthquakes. Lesson topics include construction/interpretation of topographic maps, composition and structure of earth, plate tectonics, volcanoes and earthquakes. Laboratory exercises reinforce the course curriculum and are mostly quantitative using scientific data to investigate and solve problems.
