About Me

I have worked in the field of education for the past twenty-five years. The majority of those years have been at Oregon City High School teaching science. I have also been a Director for a Migrant Head Start Program and taught science and math at a Government Secondary School (GSS) in Fundong, Cameroon, through the Peace Corps.

While in Cameroon, I was an active member of the USGS Lake Nyos Disaster Team. I had the privilege of working with renowned scientists from around the world investigating the Lake Nyos disaster that occurred on the 21st of August 1986.

Prior to my career in education, I worked for various seismic oil exploration companies in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Utah. Reflection seismology was used to locate potential oil-bearing geological structures within the over-thrust belt.
