Chemistry is a two trimester course that focuses on the study of matter and energy.   All course units include opportunities for laboratory investigations of chemistry, giving students opportunities to reinforce conceptual understanding with observational evidence.  Students will develop and apply models to explain scientific phenomena, and will complete calculations using experimental data to support their learning.  Throughout the course, relevant careers, current events, and “everyday” interactions related to the concepts of study will be highlighted.  More detail regarding specific topics covered is included in the corresponding course description.
